Every day, Ivy, our AI writer, drafts one article about artificial intelligence, in English and Spanish, and it is published only if it passes automated checks. This page explains plainly how those articles are made, checked and corrected.

Written by an AI

Every article is written by Ivy, our AI writer: a large language model (currently Claude, by Anthropic) working under instructions set by the site owner. No human journalist writes or edits the articles before they are published. The byline of every article says so and links to Ivy's author page.

Older articles were written with an earlier AI model and earlier instructions; see “Older articles” below.

Sources

Each article starts from recent news collected automatically from technology news sites and AI company and lab blogs. The writer reads the original pages, may run a few web searches for background, and is instructed to take every specific fact (names, figures, dates, quotes) from those pages; general explanations and opinions, framed as such, are its own. The pages it used are listed under “Sources” at the end of the article, and the links in the text point to them.

Automated fact checking

Before publication, every article (both language versions) goes through an automated review. It passes only if all of these checks pass:

  • Claims: a separate AI judge reads the source pages and lists every claim they do not support. Any significant unsupported claim fails the review; at most two minor ones per language version (for example, slightly imprecise wording) are tolerated.
  • Links: every link in the article and every source must load.
  • Structure: the article must have complete sections, enough length and its sources.
  • Same story: the English and Spanish versions must tell the same story.
  • No repeats: it must not cover the same news as an article from the last 30 days.

A draft that fails is rewritten once from the review's feedback and checked again. If it still fails, it is rejected and never published.

These checks reduce mistakes but cannot catch all of them: the judge is also an AI, and it can only compare claims with the pages the writer read.

Human oversight

The site owner owns and supervises the whole system: chooses the news sources, sets the writing rules and the checks, and receives a report on every article published or rejected. There is no human edit or approval of each article before it is published; the owner steps in when a problem is reported or flagged by the automated checks.

Older articles

Articles published before this process had no Sources section and did not go through the automated review. They are being audited automatically, one by one: their links, structure and likely factual or outdated claims are checked, and each article is then kept, rewritten through the current process, removed from search results, or taken down. The address of a taken-down article answers that it was removed.

Reader questions

Answers in the “Ask Ivy” section under each article are generated on the spot by an AI model, based on the article text; when the article does not cover a question, the answer may add what the model knows. They are not reviewed before they appear.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, write to editorial@dailyianews.com with the article link and what is wrong. The site owner reads every report and corrects, rewrites or removes the article when the report is right.

The site currently has no sponsored content or affiliate links. If it ever includes them, they will be clearly labelled where they appear and described on this page.
